Notes
This was originally circulated in 2009 as shn-id 104168. Matt has restransferred the master using his Bottleneck front end, which was recently improved by the addion of Telefunken tubes to replace the original Teslas tubes.
From 2009 -
Matt said... "To me, it's the whole second set jam that does it for me!! It sounds more like a Bear mix to me but regardless, one of the finest recordings of the year."

October 7, 2017 Subject:
On the day that I was..
I can only imagine checking out the Grateful Dead in this Brokedown Palace circa 72.
Watch out for that cut middle of El-Paso
Bird Song & Playin' light up a hefty 1st set.
Another time of transition for the band
as Pigpen is out sick.
Greatest, Ramble on -very fiesty
especially DJG feelin' her way on dem G-SET vocals
Second set has a nice jam session
My highlight is Donna singing
on Across the Rio Grande
Phil pretty neat in that mix as well.
Jerry calling for the Sugar Magnolia
"She can make happy
any man alive"
I had this in as a five but realistically
with those cuts in Other1 & Sug Mag
it is probably a high 4
It is Weir doing the yelling during OMSN
